We take health and safety very seriously here at Cahoots, and we are always revisiting how to best take care of our members and our space.

Members can use this page as a guide, and a place to get questions answered as we navigate a new normal at Cahoots. Prospective members and anyone else who has stumbled upon this page can get an idea of the measures we are taking to maintain a safe, flexible and enjoyable office space.

Safety is our number one concern, and all these measures are put in place to make sure everyone can feel safe and comfortable at work. Please let us know if you have a suggestion, or question about how you should interact with our co-working environment in regards to COVID.

It is all our responsibility to uphold these guidelines. Thank you for being understanding.

general practices, Social distancing, sanitizing

We base our practices off of the recommended actions proposed by the CDC, depending on which level Washtenaw County is at - low, medium or high.

The recommended actions can be found here and you can find which level our county is at here.

Our general practices are as follows:

  • If you feel sick, stay home. It is not worth endangering your coworking community.

  • Please try to give space to others while moving through the space. Desks, communal chairs, conference room chairs, and barstools have all been moved so that we can maintain social distancing.

  • Sanitizing solution and wipes will be readily available throughout the space, please use them to wipe down any surface that you touch as you spend time in different areas, including your desk daily. Please wash and sanitize your hands as often as possible, and try to avoid touching your face.

COVID-19 confirmed cases

If you, or someone that you live with is diagnosed with COVID-19, you are asked to tell a member of Team Cahoots. Do this by sending an email to Chelsea at [email protected].Your name will be kept anonymous, and only shared between our staff for planning and safety purposes. You will then be required to quarantine and not re-enter the building for 5 full days after your symptoms begin, after your positive test, or after the person you live with tests positive. If you do not have symptoms, you still need to stay home for 5 days. The day you develop symptoms/test positive is day 0.

If you have an exposure and it is not someone that you live with, (ie. someone you are not continually being exposed to) please wear a mask for at least 5 days and monitor your symptoms closely. We also highly recommend that you test 5 days after your exposure.

We will work with you so that you understand these guidelines and we can keep everyone as safe as possible.

In the event of a COVID-19 case at Cahoots, we will notify any members who have been in close contact with the person, as recommended by the CDC.
