Flexibility and adaptability are the name of the game in 2020 - as Ann Arbor’s Tech Hub, we’ve been working hard to adapt to the new tech landscape and our community’s needs. We’re excited to be bringing new plans and services to Cahoots!
It has been months since we’ve seen you. Oh how we miss you so! During that time, the team has been working and reworking our reopening plans, putting most of our focus in to safety issues around COVID-19, and dreaming up general improvements and “extras” for the space.
Today I spoked with Laura O’Connor, who has been a member of Cahoots for about three years. Come learn about the inspirational work Laura does for Burness Communications below!
It is when we retreat to our home desks that we truly realize the importance and weight of working with a community, in person. While we fiddle with Zoom, corral kids, point fingers at our pets threatening meetings with a single bark - this is when community support becomes necessary.
Today I spoke with Katelyn Kelly and Rachel Phillips, two members of Cahoots who not only work together at Generations Homecare System, but who have also known each other since they were young. Learn more about their stories below!
One of the many things I love about working at Cahoots is the endless community of people around me. Today I was able to talk to Daniel Young, the founder of Circadian Risk, a risk analytics company.
Cahoots is full of talented teams, and each member brings something different to the table. Today, I had the opportunity to sit down with Cameron Brown of Billy, a rising health tech startup focused on senior care.
As a young college student, I had never been to a day long conference. The concept was new to me, and I was excited to experience it for the first time at Intermitten 2019, “The Conference for Changemakers,” in the Ark Theatre in Ann Arbor. Everyday leading up to the event, I would think about what exactly a “changemaker” is and wonder if I deserved a seat at a conference solely intended for such individuals.
If you’ve followed Cahoots at all over the years, you’ll know we like pluses — a lot. So, where did they come from, and why? We shared the story of our pluses first hand, three years ago at the first Intermitten conference. In fact, you can see how we framed the origin of our ++ symbol on YouTube around 30:30 of this talk….
Starting today, we’re launching an experiment called our House Car program. A few months back, we purchased a Tesla Model 3. Sure, we could’ve easily gone with a less flashy car, but what fits our personality better than an automotive startup making some of the sleekest, fastest, most technically advanced cars out there? It just had to be a Tesla. And it just had to be all-wheel-drive with full autopilot capabilities.
Cahoots has a cafe serving local coffee and pastries located in our lobby. We’re open to the public, so stop by and say hi! Check out the Cahoots Cafe website for more information including hours and menu.
