In Conversation: Elisabeth Berry
Building in an Emerging Industry
Join us for a discussion with Elisabeth Berry, whose work spans leadership roles in healthcare and finance and, most recently, providing strategic guidance to early stage companies in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. This session will focus on what it takes to operate and build in a sector where norms, infrastructure, and regulations are still taking shape. Elisabeth will share perspectives on navigating novelty, managing uncertainty, and making decisions when there is no established playbook—along with the real-world challenges and opportunities that come with helping shape an industry as it emerges.
Who should attend
Founders, operators, and professionals working in or curious about emerging, regulated, or fast-evolving industries—and anyone interested in how new sectors get built from the inside.
About the series
In Conversation is a live professional development series hosted by Ayishwariya Menon and Dunrie Greiling. Formerly called Mentorship Circle, the series offers the opportunity to learn from leaders through candid, moderated conversation and informal networking.

Office Hours w/ Logan LaHive, Managing Director of Techstars Chicago
Open office hours - no pitch or deck necessary, just time for us to see if we can be helpful with your startup. If you have questions about Techstars Chicago, our new fund Long Chicago, or anything else startup / founder related, come chat.
Techstars Chicago, in partnership with Long Chicago, is an early stage accelerator & venture fund. We're long on the Midwest and intensely founder-focused. To our selected companies, we offer a large and committed investor + mentor base, dedicated office space in downtown Chicago for up to a year, and a program centered on building and fundraising. Our mission is to earn the right to be your most trusted advisor. Techstars Chicago is not industry or vertical focused - all ambitious founders are welcome to apply. If you're building something inevitable — especially if others don't see it yet — get in touch.

The Thanksgiving Play, by Larissa FastHorse
Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in this wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally woke teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.
Directed by Kelley Rawls
Content Warning: This play is a farce about well-intentioned white people grappling with the history of Indigenous peoples. As such, it contains some discussions of anti-Indigenous racism and of the genocide of Indigenous Americans. It contains an episode of anti-Indigenous mock violence. It also contains a mention of suicide.
