“Make Your Resume Work Harder Than You Do” WITH TECH[INCLUSIVE]
Talk Description:
Ever wonder why your resume isn't landing interviews? In Make Your Resume Work Harder Than You Do, Ronda Bergman draws on 25+ years in software and her experience as a hiring manager to pull back the curtain on what actually gets resumes noticed (and what sends them straight to the no pile). From surviving Applicant Tracking Systems to writing bullet points that showcase real impact, Ronda walks through the resume mistakes she sees over and over, shares some truly memorable horror stories, and gives you a practical framework for turning a mediocre resume into one that makes it easy for a hiring manager to say yes.

The Culture Roundtable W/ the Hire Effect
A shout out to business owners or operators who want to do their best by their teams, whose interest lies in cultivating high performance while helping individuals feel whole, valued, and authentic at work, come on by!
This two-hour roundtable is not a lecture, rather it’s an easeful exploration of how culture shapes outcomes in real business terms. Drawing from anthropology, psychology, philosophy, biology, and linguistics, we bring a cross-disciplinary perspective to being intentional about your business culture and taking effective action to shape it for the benefit of everyone.
We don’t treat culture as a soft asset, it’s an active lever that can accelerate or derail strategy. Our aim is to help you move from ideas about culture to measurable, practical action that your team can own and execute.
Agenda:
Introductions
What is culture?
- Various models
What is your culture?
- Toxic/misaligned pockets
What do you want your culture to be?
- Finding what culture will be best for your business goals
What is culture change?
- How to guide with intention
- Expectations are for how long it takes
Closing/Questions and thoughts!
Office Hours w/ Daniel Fernandes (Business, Leadership & Executive Coach/Consultant)
Daniel Fernandes is a leadership coach, business strategist, and AI systems advisor who helps growth-minded founders and teams solve the operational and people challenges that slow growth. He works at the intersection of leadership, communication, execution, and practical AI adoption, helping clients reduce friction, improve and accelerate decision-making, strengthen team dynamics, and build systems that support sustainable growth. He works by referral and invitation. His work is designed to create practical, meaningful shifts quickly, so leaders and teams can move forward with more clarity, trust, and momentum.
Before founding his own businesses, Daniel spent 15 years in international leadership roles at General Motors, primarily in IT Operations and major manufacturing launches for large automotive plants. His work included leading complex projects, supporting critical change initiatives, collaborating across teams and executives, and facilitating cultural transformation efforts. He studied business at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, with a focus on management, organizational psychology, and high-performance teams.
For over a decade, Daniel has coached founders and leaders to strengthen their leadership, communication, performance, relationships, teams, and sustainable work-life integration. He also facilitates workshops and group experiences in both virtual and in-person settings. Known for combining deep human insight with strategic clarity, Daniel helps clients grow in ways that work not just on paper, but in real life.
