One of the best parts of having a large event space in downtown Ann Arbor is helping people bring together the perfect elements to create a vibe. To give you some inspiration, we’ve pulled a few of our favorite examples of how to use our event space with the best tips to get the most out of your event.

Corporate Parties

For this networking event, a variety of high tops paired with comfy lounge seating provided a variety of options for people to mix and mingle. We have a variety of comfy seating options available for staging your event on site, but you can always work with a rental company to bring in something custom. For this event, our client wanted a fun vibe, so they brought in a DJ to connect to our sound system, and a private bartender set up near the alleyway entrance to keep connections flowing all night.

Dinner Parties

For this dinner, the goal was to have a cozy holiday dinner, so we brought in custom festive linen, paired with a fireplace streaming on our projector, music throughout our sound system, and a custom farm to table dinner catered by one of the many talented chefs we work with.

EDUCATIONAL EVENTS

Our classroom setting works best for events where you want your event attendees to have a place to set their laptop and make use of our plug-ins and AV system to share educational content, like our monthly Typescript Developers Meetups.

Evening EVENTS

During warm summer evenings, the ambient lighting of our outdoor alley is the perfect place for people to mingle and connect after an event. Our member Treeline uses our sound system and lighting package to host live music events, followed by evenings of great conversation.

Vendor Markets

For our midnight madness market, a variety of vendors who set up booths throughout the space, with access to the cafe for drinks and food down the hall. Whether you are looking to host a local vendor market, create a job fair, or host any kind of multi-station informational event, a market setup allows you to create a variety of stations with access to plugins and easy loading from the alley entrance.

Speaker series

Hosting a speaker series is a fun way to connect people with a new topic or an expert on a matter. For this event, we wanted to fit more people in, so we skipped the additional seating options and pulled out all the stops - and chairs - to be able to seat up to 100 people comfortably.

Fundraisers

Fundraising events in downtown Ann Arbor are always popular because of the easy access to walk to a variety of downtown bars and restaurants afterwards. A variety of seating options and our wireless microphone sound system allowed this fundraiser to blend mingling with a series of motivational speeches.

Connection and community is at the heart of everything we do, and events are one of our favorite ways to do this. If you are looking for more ideas on how to host an event in our space, don’t hesitate to contact us.
