I started Movellus when I was still a Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan conducting research on semiconductor design. The goal of the research was to take chips to the next level in terms of power and speed to help nudge Moore’s law forward. Chips have analog portions and they have digital portions. The analog portions are still custom designed and cause a lot of the issues in chips today.

One of the cool things about coworking in Cahoots are the people — who come here from all different types of tech companies. Last week, I got the chance to sit down with Liesl from Revolution Parts, a startup based in Phoenix, to learn a bit more about what their focus is and why they are here in Ann Arbor.

I think of Cahoots as a constantly growing web of innovators, dreamers, self-starters. I usually can’t go through a normal day without meeting a new person. New companies arrive and are welcomed into the fold of tinkering and innovation. This last week I got the opportunity to talk with one of the OG members of Cahoots, Michael from Revl.

As I write this, it’s 10:20 am on the first day of my second week of my internship at Cahoots, a co-working space in downtown Ann Arbor. I’m hoping that a few extra sips of coffee from my “Freudian Sips” mug might allow me to overcome this writer’s block. When asked to make a new post for our blog I wasn’t sure what to write.
